DataFest

Two students analyzing data

DataFest consists of a series of weekend events sponsored by the American Statistical Association in which student teams work together to analyze a large, complex data set. At the end of the weekend, the teams present their analyses, and the teams with the best presentations receive certificates and prizes. The events take place at various colleges and universities across the United States. Eastern Kentucky University hosted a DataFest event for the first time in 2018; in 2019, students from two other institutions came to campus to participate. Now known as Bluegrass DataFest, this event has involved several Kentucky schools.

Participation in DataFest looks great on a resume--and it's a lot of fun! For more information on DataFest, see https://ww2.amstat.org/education/datafest/.

EKU is hosting DataFest in the Science Building the weekend of April 19-21, 2024. Students may register at https://eku.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2rU04pJR8NO6teK.
